One week. Eek. Also, that means Christmas is crazy soon, and I am nowhere near ready. (And if I hear one more person who says they finished all their Christmas shopping in September I may punch something).
So in honour of my little book coming out next week, I thought I'd host a little contest. The first contest anywhere in the world in which you can win a shiny finished copy of TORN. It's a proper book! With the exact right words in it!
1. Contest is open internationally.
2. Contest closes midday Monday, UK time.
3. If you spead the word, you won't necessarily be more likely to win, but the karma alone will make it TOTES worth it.
To enter, just answer the following question in the comments below...
WHAT'S YOUR GUILTY SECRET?*
*See what I did there? TORN is all about guilt and secrets and guilty secrets and secret guilt... CLEVER.

Imagine if my guilty secret was that I liked chocolate more than cheese!? Its not. But imagine if it was ...
ReplyDeleteMy guilty secret is that I often read books instead of doing what I'm supposed to be doing for work. That's the (dis)advantage of working from home ...

My guilty secret is... Well, I have two. The first being that I spend way too much time on twitter; valuable time that could be spent doing something else like actually working. My second is that I am obsessed with reading and getting caught up in the story like I am actually there. There is nothing better than reading a food book and feeling like you're part of it. Getting lost in a story is the best feeling ever.
ReplyDeleteMy guilty secret is that I finished a certain type of shopping in mid-November that I can't talk about because you might punch something... :P Not September, but still a little early.

My guilty secret is that I like writing synopses. Actually, it's not as secret as it was. well, it's not at all any more.
ReplyDeleteI also finished my Christmas shopping for next year. *ducks*
Good luck with the launch, Cat! And have fun xx
Nicola Morgan nicked my guilty secret, so now I'm going to have to make something up ...
ReplyDeleteIt's Christmas themed as well, we lie to our respective families every year & tell them my husband is on call for the hotel he manages & we can't go to Christmas dinner with either of our huge families in a stuffy restaurant. Then we stay in our pj's & have beef Wellington for dinner then go for a walk. Aaah. Even better, his boss is in on it & covers for us every year :-)
ReplyDeleteMy guilty secret is sitting with one of my chickens on my lap, telling her all my secrets and worries. She generally falls asleep - so they must be boring confessions or too traumatic to handle.
ReplyDeleteWassa guilty secret? Just because I do a wild happy dance when certain guests leave, doesn't mean I've a GS. Happy publication, happy Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMy guilty secret is not telling my mum how much I spent on books (all hardcovers) while in America... and they were all at full price. That's over $100 spent and I did it in only 3 days... sorry mum.
ReplyDeleteMy guilty secret is that I have been using the excuse I don't get paid until tomorrow to avoid Christmas shopping when really I've been too "preoccupied" (aka lazy).
ReplyDeleteAlso, and perhaps even more of a guilty secret, is the fact that whenever I feel sad or ill I make my Mum/stepdad sing me Soft Kitty from the Big Bang Theory and it does help! The shameful thing in this... I'm 21!

ReplyDeleteMy guilty secret? I'm a twenty two year old guy who likes Twilight, The Notebook, Taylor Swift and has an uncontrollable compulsion to delete his comments and repost is he spots a grammatical error in them.
ReplyDeleteMy guilty secret is not only do I watch Pretty Little Liars, but sometimes I buy clothes the girls wear (and I'm way too old for that!).
ReplyDeleteI really, really DO prefer cats to people.....but don't particularly FEEL guilty about that, although I know I should......
ReplyDeleteMy guilty secret is that I lie in blog competitions with books as a prize.
ReplyDeleteThe number of books that I own that I haven't read yet... made worse because I keep buying new books as they come out and faster than I can read them.
ReplyDeleteMy guilty secret is that I sometimes cheat on the amount of calories I'm supposed to eat.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... a guilty secret. Well, aside from the fact that I haven't read Entangled yet (guilty as charged), I'm 24 and I still love watching children's television programming.
ReplyDeleteDon't get me wrong, I love me some Criminal Minds and True Blood, but sometimes a girl just has to watch a show about a talking aardvark who likes to read. (I also learned how to properly spell aardvark from that show... from a song)
I also copy and paste stuff into a word document to make sure that I haven't spelled anything incorrectly before posting anything online. Even blog comments and Twitter updates.

My guilty secret is that I prefer to stay home and read than hang out or even text my friends.

The bigget secret I ever kept was from my mum. I told her I broke my arm jumping on the trampoline when in fact I did it swinging on the middle bar of the swing which she had, about 3 mins before arm breaking, told me not to do because I might "break something".
ReplyDeleteTo this day I never told her what really happened (about 20 years now!) because I didn't want to admit she was right.
Mind you it back fired on me. I went to birthday party the week after the whole incident and I wasn't allowed on the trampolines and had to sit and watch everyone else having fun :(

My guilty secret is that I take money from my brother's room every now and again without telling him. He then goes looking for his money throughout the house not knowing I have taken it. :P
