1. Authors for Japan raised a grand total of £10,962.25! Amazing! Big thanks to Keris Stainton and her band of helpers for making this happen.
2. I went for a run on the beach this morning. It was lovely (apart from the taste of blood in my mouth, which I googled when I got home... turns out it's something to do with DOING EXERCISE. Shock, horror).
3. I finished the first season of Supernatural yesterday. Dean is my favourite.
4. I registered at my local library this week and it has the best YA section I've ever seen. Huzzah! I borrowed Charlie Higson's THE ENEMY and Gillian Philip's FIREBRAND. Reading THE ENEMY first and man, Mr Higson can certainly spin a yarn. Suitably gory, edge-of-your-seat stuff. I do love zombies.
5. I am waiting for two emails. If they don't arrive today I will be annoyed.
I hope your Wednesday is sunny and full of good things such as kittens, popcorn and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Must see Supernatural at some point. YOur library sounds so much better than ours. Have a great day. I plan to sit in the garden away from the computer and write!

Sounds like you're settling in well in your new place and as for being able to have a run on the beach... wow! I'm so jealous. It takes 2 hours to reach our nearest bit of coastline. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI've read and enjoyed'The Enemy' and Gillian Philip is an author I support a lot in my library after seeing her at the Edinburgh Book Festival. Her publisher also lives down the road from my school!

ReplyDeleteOn Tuesday I ordered Entangled on the Book Depository (apparently it hasn't come out here in the U.S. yet -- for a moment I was very panicked) and I am so excited to read it! Is Torn going to be the next in the series (it seems like a similar title that might follow Entangled) or is it a separate book entirely? Anyway, I'm looking forward to Entangled and I will definitely tell you what I think! (Big brown package just arrived in the mail and I thought it might be the books I ordered but it was for the tenants :( I'm also so excited to receive Wither and The Demon's Covenant. So many exciting books! EEEPPP!!!)
